Bio

I am a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, lactation counselor, and experienced mama of 5 kiddos, ages 17 - 8. I am passionate about getting parents the help and information they need to feel supported and empowered through the pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

My passion for birth, babies, and breastfeeding was born along with my first children (twins!). Having obtained a Masters in Social Work, specializing in child welfare, I thought I had it all figured out. But once the twins arrived, I realized I had no idea how much I didn’t know, how much help I would need, and how much I would need to advocate for myself. As I struggled to figure it all out and gather support with a deployed husband, I knew that I wanted to be part of that support system for other mothers in the future.

For my three subsequent births, I hired a doula, so I have been a client as well as a provider and have felt the impact that knowledgeable support can have. Each child had vastly different births, nursing challenges, and temperaments, and each addition increased my desire to help other parents. I have trained through DONA and CAPPA and I volunteer with UCSD Hearts and Hands doula program. I attended a Spinning Babies training with Nicole Morales.

  • “Megan was an amazing support to me physically, mentally, and emotionally. She was super helpful to my husband with suggestions and tips of ways to support me. She was also very respectful of our space and our experience.” an absolute blessing to my family. Her presence in our home created a deep sense of peace and care. She initially brought us meals and then helped with practical household tasks. Every time she came over I knew I would be seen, helped and nurtured!"
