Bio

Angie is a San Diego native and a proud mother of three beautiful children. Her journey to becoming a doula began after the birth of her first child, which took place at home. At that time, she had no idea what a doula was, nor did she fully understand the importance of having one.

It was a transformative experience that opened her eyes to the crucial need for continuous emotional and physical support during labor—support that goes beyond what a partner or healthcare provider can offer. This realization ignited her passion for becoming a doula, and she has been dedicated to supporting and empowering women through their birthing journeys ever since.

Angie has always been a doula, a giver, a sister, a person to lean on. She loves all aspects of what she does, whether it’s physically holding hips or emotionally holding space.

Within her practice, she strives to achieve a 50:50 balance of the spiritual and energetic with the scientific and evidence-based.

She is a certified labor doula (CLD) and certified postpartum doula (CPD) and has attended many births in various settings—homebirths, birth centers, and hospitals. She actively attends workshops, courses, and continuing education classes on childbirth, hypnobirthing, spinning babies, breastfeeding, postpartum, newborn care, and holding space for pregnancy loss.

She fully believes that all pregnant persons have an innate inner-knowing that is a powerful guide through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her time with clients emphasizes self-discovery as they listen to their intuition, and prepare for a birth as unique as they are.

  • "Let me start by saying that without Angie by my side, I might have faced a C-section. Angie was not just a guide; she was my rock throughout the entire labor. Her unwavering support and kindness turned what could have been a stressful experience into a journey of empowerment and understanding. Even when things didn't go as planned, she was there, helping me navigate every twist and turn at the hospital. Angie continuously reassured me that I had control over my choices and my induction process, which gave me immense confidence and peace of mind. Her presence was a true blessing, and I couldn't have asked for a more compassionate and knowledgeable doula. Angie was my saving grace, and I am forever grateful for her incredible care and support."

  • "Our doula Angela was a calming presence and great support for me and my husband. I appreciated her non-biased help leading up to and during the birth. She listened to and respected our birth plan entirely and was very receptive during our labor."

  • The moment she walked in the room with her calming demeanor I felt a sense of peace and ease. She is so in tune with a pregnant woman's needs, it's like she could read my mind and provided exactly what I needed...from the lovely hips squeezes to a nice cold rag for your fore head, she was on it! Not having to think about the small things during labor makes all the difference in the world!"

  • "Angela was a godsend. She came during a desperate time when my husband and I needed sleep and relief. Not only were we able to get a full night's rest but she provided guidance, encouragement, and comfort during an overnight shift and we look forward to continuing seeking her help and guidance as we navigate the postpartum period."
